INSEE, the ERETES website manager, commits to ensuring that the collection and processing of personal data conducted via the ERETES website comply with article Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD) and the French Data Protection Act.
Purpose of data processing
Purposes
The purpose of this data processing is to respond to contact requests sent to the ERETES publishers via the www.eretes.net website.
It enables INSEE to manage the registration of questions relating to the ERETES software.
Legal basis
Article 6(1)e) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This processing falls under the exercise of a public service mission entrusted to Insee, the ERETES website manager:
- Article 1§1 of Law No. 51-711 of June 7, 1951, concerning the obligation, coordination, and confidentiality of statistics;
- Article 1§7 of Decree No. 46-1432 of June 14, 1946, establishing public administrative regulations for the application of Articles 32 and 33 of the Finance Law of April 27, 1946, related to the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) for mainland France and overseas territories;
- Article 4§2 of the Decree of December 2, 2019, concerning the internal organisation of the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE).

Source of Data
The data is collected when an individual submitting a request enters their email address, name, and a message into the input fields of the site’s Contact Form.

The email address is mandatory to enable a response to the requestor’s question(s).
Automated Decision-Making
The processing does not involve any automated decision-making.
Data Subjects
The data processing concerns only individuals who wish to contact the editors of the ERETES website.

The data is processed solely by the ERETES website editors.

The data is retained for 12 months from the date the request is submitted by the individuals concerned.
