Governance

The ERETES governance is ensured through two bodies:

The Steering committee gathers representatives of  the co-owners (Eurostat and INSEE), IBGE (Brazil) acting on behalf of Heads of NSI using ERETES, AFRISTAT as agency responsible for the ERETES implementation in its member states and the chairman of the ERETES Group. This committee gives strategic guidelines and takes decisions about the future of ERETES.

The Technical committee gathers the two national accountants of the INSEE International Technical Assistance Section working full time on the tool, the responsible for ERETES follow-up within Eurostat Cooperation Unit, the AFRISTAT national accountants and the chairman of the ERETES Group. This committee ensures the response to users via a dedicated hotline, deals with the relations with the IT service provider in charge of the maintenance and suggests improvements and new developments to the Steering committee.
